Stayed here once in 2023 in transit from Thunder Bay to Winnipeg. Liked it to much that I made sure to plan a night here on a trip from Calgary to southern Ontario. I really love this place…it’s got a great atmosphere. Really quiet and right on a Agimak Lake. You can’t ask for a better view than what these rooms offer and at such a good price. Having breakfast included is the cherry on top. The place feels quiet and remote while still offering plenty of amenities like TVs and internet. They even have kayaks and other equipment to use! I plan on taking a kayak out in the morning :) I highly recommend staying here for a vacation/getaway or if you’re in transit through Ontario.

Just a lovely place to stay west of Thunder Bay and just east of Dryden. Our room was so clean and well appointed. A beautiful location right on the lake with wonderful views. The breakfast was delicious with sensational muffins and other assorted things.

I had been looking for a 1 night accommodation for our travels in Northern Ontario in mid-August. I was able to book a queen bed room at the Lone Pine Inn located on Agimak Lake, in Ignace, Ontario and it was amazing. I was impressed from the moment we arrived at their well kept compound, until to the moment we left. The owner Tanya and front desk staff Karen, were extremely welcoming and accommodating with their genuine personal touch. The room we reserved on the 2nd floor facing the lake was an amazing view from the large balcony area, just outside your room door, with table and chairs with their morning coffee in a ceramic cup. The room itself was very clean, with the towels and bedsheets smelling so fresh. Our room had a fridge and microwave to use. The bed was a perfect place to get a good nights sleep after our drive. The lake was a sandy bottom and shallow on the beach right in front of the resort. We found the included breakfast to be a broad range of choices especially for dietary needs, making it very easy to eat, enjoy the coffee and relax. We wish we had booked longer, as the Lone Pine had the exact atmosphere we look for when we are away and this resort definitely nailed it.

This was a nice stop ofter a long drive, comfy and clean. Right on the lake...its right out your window. Owners/staff were very friendly. Breakfast was so good even with fresh berries..and fresh cinnamon buns. They have paddle boards, and paddle boat which we had fun on :) wifi was great for work meetings too.

This place is great! We drove for a long time from Quebec, we could not plan our stop in advance. After a long search for price and quality, somehow miraculously found this place on Google maps. The administration quickly responded to our late request and accepted us at midnight. Breakfast was delicious. I even managed to use the kayaks for a walk on the water. The room had everything for a comfortable stay. The only thing was that the toilet door did not close. And when we arrived late at night, our front door creaked so much that we were afraid we woke up our neighbors. But even such a trifle did not prevent us from enjoying a comfortable bed and a view from the window. The room was clean and everyone who works there was very nice. Thanks

We are travelling from Ontario to Calgary, and were giving up the driving at night as we came upon Ignace. I saw this little Inn on the map, just a few minutes from the highway and thought we’d see if it was open. Driving the dark, lakeside road, it seemed that it would be closed, until we rounded the corner and came upon this beautiful place lit up, and quite busy. We were received by a lovely lady and given a gorgeous room opening onto the lake, hosting an Aurora Borealis show. The room was lovely - with recent modern remodelling. It was so clean and well-stocked with coffee, toasters, and full kitchen needs, along with a full stove and fridge. The bathroom was fabulous - again fully organized, including the super smart black make-up, super soft facecloth. The space warmed up quickly with the heaters and the electric fireplace. The morning complimentary breakfast was amazing - granola, toasts, fruit, jams, hard-boiled eggs, juice and the best coffee. The whole ambiance was homey, quaint, and comfy. We were torn wanting to stay another 24 hours - but our journey home and responsibilities there beckoned. All in all, this lovely sojourn would make an amazing stay in the summer with the lake, causing me to consider a drive back one day. Of course, if the summer, it would need to be booked well in advance. Do yourself a favour - stop here.

The Location is excellent. The Rooms have been nicely renovated. Sadly the mattress in our rooms were both shot. Like literally bent springs, sagging and we're lacking bedbug covers. The portable AC was much more noisy than any window air conditioner at other places. It never reached the set temperature but would cycle on and off frequently. So as much as I want to love this place, in the end it was the most expensive we stayed at in Northern Ontario and the least comfortable sleep. The breakfast on the other hand was the best. Communication was also great and the staff on site were incredibly friendly. Will probably give it a try again and hopefully we will get a room with better mattresses.
